Three rides from the gate

From the Vuelta's hardest climb to 128 flat kilometres through olive groves. All of it starts at the same gate.

1. La Pandera

The climb that has decided Vuelta a España stages. You go up from Los Villares towards the 1,872-metre summit, with brutal ramps near the top and a panorama over Sierra Nevada, Mágina and Cazorla as the reward.

2. Vía Verde del Aceite

128 kilometres along the old Olive Oil Railway, reclaimed for cyclists and walkers between the provinces of Jaén and Córdoba. It is known for its thirteen 19th-century iron viaducts and for crossing the largest cultivated forest on earth: more than 66 million olive trees. Along the way it passes ranges such as Jabalcuz, La Grana, La Caracolera and Ahillos.

3. Sierra de Cazorla trail

About 75 demanding kilometres through one of Spain's largest natural parks, between dense forest, rivers and rock formations, with views of the valley and the summits.
